History
The Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library (PTLL) was established in 1974 by a group of parents who saw the need for an organization that would lend out toys, educate the community as to the importance of play for the development of children, and provide a place for children and their parents/caregivers to play together. Since its inception, the PTLL has been an all-volunteer run co-operative with no paid staff handling its operation. Forty later, the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library is still going strong!
